Mysore
Published Thursday, October 28, 2010Cafe Coffee Day (a.k.a. CCD) is the Starbucks of India!
We stopped for some food and drinks along the way. I had some sour and spicy soup which was really good but REALLY spicy!! Washed it down with some Kingfisher beer which is popular here.
We visited the Bird Sanctuary. Unfortunately for us there was only one type of bird to see, the White Ibis, but all our attention seemed to be on the crocodiles! They were hanging out on the rocks while we floated by on old rickity row boats.

The location where King Tipu's body was found. He was one of the last great kings and was known as the Tiger of Mysore.
King Tipu's tomb.
I still have no idea who this guy is but who cares when he has a sword, pet snake and a killer mustache!
Elephant rides at the palace.
Carl became very popular being one of the whitest guys at the palace. The father of these two boys asked Carl if they could take a picture with the exotic Westerner, ha!
