Family Visit!

Shane, Cia & Owen came down (they live in Napa) on Sept. 10th to visit. It’s nice because they try to come down once every couple of months to hang out. Typically they’ll get here on Friday in time for Shane to sub on my softball team. That particular week they showed up early and Shane helped me get the crown molding installed in the nursery. We knocked that out in about an hour then started getting ready for softball. We had a double header that night, won the first, lost the second. Anyway, that was just the beginning of the weekend.
Early Saturday morning we planned for a garage sale. The entire week leading up to Saturday we’d been getting everything organized, what to sell, what to keep, what to Goodwill. So Saturday morning rolls around, Dani went out to pick up donuts (we always give out free donuts to our customers) and I started pulling stuff out of the garage. As expected we had a few early birds show up at 6:30 (the sale was advertised to start at 7). We ended up selling a couple things but didn’t get as much traffic as we’d of liked even with ads in craigslist, pennysaver & in the Manteca paper. We closed up shop around 11 and all headed to the driving range to hit some balls before heading to lunch. After that we just hung out at home and played with Owen. I must admit that I was having a blast with him! He’s so fast now that you really have to keep an eye on him, if you give him an opening he’ll JAM! Anyway, he’s now able to stand himself up and can even balance (no hands) for a few seconds before falling. It’s amazing how much he’s grown in the first year. Needless to say, can’t wait to have one of my own!
Checking the cuts
A few pieces up
Installed and caulked! Just waiting paint!
Oh and one other thing, we got our bunny Jimi back!! He was taken care of while we lived in our apartment but now that we have the room he’s back with his parents!
