Project Nursery...
Published Thursday, September 2, 2010Daddy's job starts even before the baby is born! Applying base coat for upper half of room. This color has a flat finish.
Marking and taping the stripes. This part took about 2 hours. This was the first time I used Frog Tape (green tape). It was a bit more expensive than the blue tape but TOTALLY worth it!! First time I've ever had super clean lines!
Of course, after laying out the stripes, it took all of 20 minutes to actually paint them...
Upper half done. The stripes have a semi-gloss finish so you get the contrast of the flat & glossy stripes. We saw this done in a model home and really liked it.
Painted the bottom half and now installing the chair rail.
You feelin' lucky, punk?
Chair rail installed and caulked. Still lots to do!
