Sorry it’s been a while since the last update, I’ll try my best to update you… So it turns out our trip to Lake Tahoe coincided with a bye week for our softball team!! Timing couldn’t have been more perfect, I always hate missing a game and potentially leaving the team short a player. Anyway, we did end up losing our game two weeks ago but it didn’t really matter, win or lose we still wound up placing 2nd (out of 5 teams) in the regular season. Our 2nd place standing is what gave us a bye in last week’s first round of playoff games. Tonight we play the winner of last week’s playoff game and if we win that, we’ll play again in the championship game!

Another thing I’ve been working on is getting our team setup with new jerseys. We had some printed a couple years ago that lasted a while but I felt it was time for an upgrade. I worked with our Coach (who is also the pastor of the church) and we came up with a design. At our last game I showed the design to all the guys and started collecting money from them. Well, I finally put in the order on Tuesday and to my surprise the guy delivered them to me today! They turned out awesome!!! I have to give props to Chris Williams at Lucky Gatorhead Custom Tees & Apparel! He was great to work with and turned our order around super fast (he even drove from Oakdale and hand delivered them!). Thanks Chris! The guys are going to flip over these new jerseys, hopefully it’ll be the edge we need to pull off a championship win!

p.s. Since ‘my’ number (16) was taken by one of my teammates I ended up choosing #21… that’s right, BlackJack baby!!
