Folsom State Prison & Led Zepagain

Every so often we feel the need to 'Get the Led Out' and no one helps us do that better than Led Zepagain! These guys are a Led Zeppelin tribute band based out of Southern California, which is where we first saw them about 6 years ago. Since then we've moved back to Central CA and so we only have a chance to see them every once in a while when they travel up here. The Powerhouse Pub in Folsom is one of their main venues up here and is one we really enjoy as well. Since Folsom is about an hour and a half from home, we decided to make a day of it by driving up early on Saturday and spending night. One thing we decided to do was visit the Folsom State Prison. Yes, THE same prison you might remember from the Johnny Cash recording. As the prison is still in operation, we were only able to look from the outside in, which was fine with us! There was also a small museum that is open to the public. The museum has many artifacts including; an entire wall of homemade shanks, tons of Johnny Cash stuff, and an amazing 8 foot high ferris wheel made entirely out of toothpicks! Anyway, after a hard day in prison nothing is better than a little Rock n' Roll. This was our 5th time seeing Zepagain and was by far the best show we've seen, they played for nearly 4 hours straight! The highlight of the night for Matt was when they played 'In My Time of Dying', which is currently his favorite Zep song to rock to. The worst decision of the night came around 2am when we decided to go to IHOP for food. Drinking all night + greasy breakfast food = HOARK!
